For students who have recently been in education, the entry profile is likely to include the following:

• A Level 2 qualification (e.g., GCSEs or equivalent).
• Prior learning, work experience, or interview-based entry may be considered.
• English language competence at CEFR B2 / IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.

This is an internally awarded, non-regulated qualification. It is benchmarked against the RQF (Levels 3, UK) and mapped to the EQF (Levels 4, EU), ensuring international comparability and providing a strong platform for progression.

Learners may apply for progression to:

• The Next Gates Level 4 Diploma in Business or the Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business
• Other Level 4 vocational or business-related qualifications
• Foundation programmes or Year 1 of undergraduate business degrees (subject to university acceptance)

Progression decisions are made by receiving universities and employers. Applicants should confirm entry requirements before applying.

The registration will be valid for 12 months, but students may complete the Diploma in less than one year.

Registration process:

• Students should fill in an online application and provide us with correct information about themselves.
• A proof of identity such as Passport must be submitted with the application.
• Students should also submit a scan of recent education certificate and an evidence to English level.
• After approval, students will receive a user name and password to access the learning platform.

Assessment is practical and applied, focusing on real business contexts rather than exams. Learners complete a mix of:

• Written assignments and reports
• Business case studies and project work
• Presentations and pitching tasks
• A major independent research project

Each unit is graded Pass, Merit, or Distinction, with final awards calculated on a points-based system. Fairness and flexibility are maintained through clear policies on resubmissions and compensation.
