Description
Research skills are as vital for the workplace as they are for academic development. The ability to investigate problems, collect relevant information, critically evaluate sources, and propose effective solutions is regarded as an essential competency by employers across industries. These skills support a wide range of professional tasks, such as report writing, building a business case, strategic planning, or launching new products and services.
In this course, students will undertake a sustained research project in a specific field of business. The project will be linked to their chosen area of study and provide the opportunity to explore and analyse a topical issue within the contemporary business environment.
The course is designed to build independent inquiry skills by enabling students to select a research theme, formulate aims and objectives, and carry out a systematic investigation. Students will also learn how to communicate their findings effectively through both written and verbal formats. A key component of the course is reflection, where students will evaluate their own engagement in the research process and identify areas for personal and professional development.
